WMU orchestra to present 'Fountains of Music'
KALAMAZOO, Mich.—The Western Michigan University Symphony Orchestra will present "Fountains of Music" at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, in Miller Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.
The central work will be Ottorino Respighi’s "Fountains of Rome," a depiction of well-known Roman fountains at various times of day. The concert will also include the world premiere of WMU composition student Kevin Kerr’s "Murmurations." Kerr was the winner of the 2015 WMU Large Ensemble Commission. The concert will conclude with Tchaikovsky’s "Symphony No. 4 in F Minor"
